Installation & Storage Method

Make sure the support structure is clean and dry. Do not directly screw the sheet, only use aluminium clapping for joining. Must leave a gal of at least 50mm in between sheets for thermal expansion and contraction. A minimum slope of 5º roof pitch is recommended to allow adequate rain water run-off.

Use only new or sharp ground steel or carbide tipped drills. All holes must be drilled at least 40mm from the edge of the sheet. All holes must be at least 4mm bigger than screw for thermal expansion and contraction.

ABS stands for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. ABS is an impact-resistant engineering thermoplastic & amorphous polymer. ABS is made up of three monomers: acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene:

  • Acrylonitrile: It is a synthetic monomer produced from propylene and This component contributes to ABS chemical resistance & heat stability
  • Butadiene: It is produced as a by-product of ethylene production from steam This component delivers toughness & impact strength to ABS polymer
  • Styrene: It is manufactured by dehydrogenation of ethyl benzene. It provides rigidity & processability to ABS plastic
Product features
  • High rigidity
  • Good impact resistance, even at low temperatures
  • Good insulating properties
  • Good weldability
  • Good abrasion and strain resistance
  • High dimensional (Mechanically strong and stable over time)
  • High surface brightness and excellent surface aspect
Chemical properties
  • Very good resistance to diluted acid and alkalis
  • Moderate resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons
  • Poor resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated Hydrocarbons and alcohols
Applications
  • Automotive applications (Instrument panels, pillar trim, dashboard components, door liners and handles, seat back or seatbelt components, )
  • Appliances (household and consumer goods)
  • Electrical and electronics (Computer keyboards)
  • Pipes and fittings

ABS is further used to make legos, instruments, sports equipment, gardening tools, medical applications include manufacturing nebulizers, compressors and more.

Polypropylene (PP) is a rigid and crystalline thermoplastic used widely in everyday objects like packaging trays, household products, battery cases, medical devices, etc. PP belongs to polyolefin family of polymers and is one of the top three widely used polymers today.
